The Iron Art Co, Philipsburg, NJ. was in business from 1954-89. The Loco & tender was likely from 1954-59. The loco and tender looks a lot like a Hubley type of engine. It is a cast iron floor train 2-4-0 about 8" long with coupler and the tender is about 3 1/2" long. Both are marked No. 50. Other information I found is a number JM 240 which I don't know what this number is for, perhaps a casting number. It looks great displayed. I had it on my windowsill for many years. |
